EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM


Michelle Smith, MBA, Managing Partner
Ms. Smith has over 20 years in leadership roles for established and start-up, public and private organizations.  She has demonstrated strengths in strategy development, leadership, and effective management approaches.  Michelle’s record of corporate achievement began with AT&T Corporation, a Fortune 50 market leader in telecommunications.  She received numerous awards and recognition for increasing market share and directing improvement initiatives that impacted all business channels.  Michelle is also a Master Facilitator, a Master Trainer and a Coach.

Michelle also successfully started a real estate development Company which focused on residential and commercial real estate consulting.  She was successful in building an infrastructure, identifying strategic partnerships, accurately assessing risks and opportunities, securing funding, managing expansion, and operations.  Structuring deals that take advantage of the vast array of real estate concepts and techniques was an integral component in her successful real estate ventures.


Michelle has provided job and life skills coaching for over 15 years.  She has been coaching clients with positive, sustainable results in career advancement, personal development, and professional growth as President of her own firm.  In addition, a long list of satisfied coaching clients attest to her skills as a human resources specialist who listens well, asks good questions, and guides her clients to success in their chosen endeavors.  Further, Michelle has project management and leadership skills and an ability to manage complex initiatives as well as be in the trenches with people who need direct assistance.


Ms. Smith specializes in the areas of General Management (Costs, Profit, HR, Technology, Funding, Regulation, Re-Engineering all Business Channels, etc.), Finance, Business Development, Instructional Design and Training, and Corporate Coaching.  Michelle is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Economics and English.  She received an MBA with honors as well. She is active in trade and community associations and enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, and history.

 

David Kleinman, MBA, Managing Director 
David Kleinman brings to Ivy Rawson extensive experience in corporate finance and management consulting.  His consulting experience includes strategic planning, business plan analysis, cash management, business viability analysis, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring. He has focused on advising debtors and lender groups in various turnaround situations and bankruptcy matters, including interim management roles, developing acquisition and integration plans, divestiture analyses, reorganization and cost reduction strategies.

 

Mr. Kleinman possesses a variety of skills and experience related to corporate finance including, financial modeling, auditing, due diligence and financing strategies and has worked in a variety of industries including manufacturing, financial services, retail, e-commerce, automotive, energy, and real estate.   Previous clients include Overnite Trucking, Hudson Bay Department Stores, Centro Property Trust, Tropicana and Harvard Medical School.  Mr. Kleinman has experience working in different stages of business from Start-Ups to Restructuring.

 

Mr. Kleinman was recently on the Mortgage Bankers Association of America Education Committee. He has also been an adjunct professor at Gibbs College in New York teaching Finance, Supervisory Management, and Marketing. He has had articles published in various magazines including the Mortgage Bankers Association of America ABF Journal and the Scotsman Guide. Mr. Kleinman holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University in Finance and E-commerce as well as a BS from the University of Tampa in Accounting.
